Rubén Salomón 

Biografía


El artista Rubén Salomón López, nace en La Paz, Bolivia. Proviene de una familia de artistas tales como: poetas, músicos, escritores y pintores. Este ambiente estimulante lo impulsa desde niño a crear y plasmar sus singulares fantasías en pedazos de papel, llevándolo a realizar creaciones de forma intuitiva.

En su juventud empieza a utilizar el carbón, posteriormente decide poner color a sus lienzos. Adquiere la nacionalidad peruana por su padre el artista, poeta e historiador Amílcar Salomón Zorrilla, quien lo acoge en su taller galería en donde aprende la técnica del óleo y acrílico además de estudiar historia del arte. Asimismo cursó estudios en la Escuela Nacional Autónoma de Bellas Artes en la ciudad del Cusco, Perú; Ambas experiencias y conocimientos despiertan en él su espíritu artístico logrando de esta manera dejar fluir su capacidad expresiva dándoles vida a sus lienzos a través de su paleta.

Sus fuentes de inspiración y motivos fueron la ciudad de Cusco por su rico ambiente cultural e histórico, lo cual hizo que utilizara una paleta variada de tonos cálidos y fuertes, su tendencia es abstracto-surrealista.

Ha realizado exposiciones en Perú y Bolivia, actualmente radica en Maryland USA.




Biography


Rubén Salomón López was born in the city of La Paz, Bolivia. He comes from a family of artists such as: poets, musicians, writers, and painters. This stimulating environment motivated him since childhood to create and express his unique Imaginations on pieces of paper, taking his creations to an intuitive form. During his adolescence, he began to use charcoal, then later he decided to put color onto his paintings.

He acquired his Peruvian nationality through his father, the artist, poet, and historian Amilcar Salomon Zorilla, who took him into his studio where he learned oil and acrylic techniques, along with Art history. Additionally, he took courses at Escuela Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes in the city of Cusco, Peru. Both experiences along with the knowledge learned during this period are expressed in his artistic spirit allowing fluidity in the capacity of his artistic expression, giving life to his paintings through his palette.

His sources of inspiration and motivation include the city of Cusco because of its rich culture and history, which led him to the use of his palette filled with muted and strong tones. He tends to paint abstract-surrealism.

He has had exhibitions in Peru and Bolivia, and currently lives in the state of Maryland, USA.
